One of our favorite design solutions in this project is the insertion and removal (I&R) "room." Instead of needing to devote an entire room to I&R, we created a small nook with a sink and table adjacent to the trial room. This allowed for more space to be devoted to showcasing glasses, which turn a much larger profit. We also worked with Dr. Bickel to create exam rooms large enough to fit both a scribe and an optometrist, and we placed a window in between the lab and the selling floor to allow their combination optician/lab tech to have visibility of both rooms at once.
